First, define an “eternal present” to be an infinitely extended, pastless, futureless duration (strictly speaking, on the terminology used here, it should be “timeless present”).

Boethius instead calls them “eternal”; for him, temporal events pass away (time “passes”), eternal events do not. Events in God's life are permanently present. They are permanent features of reality. This is what makes them eternal, not temporal; God is eternal because such events make up his life.
