The Fureys are an Irish folk band originally formed in 1974. The group consisted initially of four brothers who grew up in Ballyfermot, Dublin. Brothers Eddie, Finbar, Paul and George Furey are of Irish Traveller heritage. [1] . Two of the band's singles have been number one hits in Ireland, and two of their albums charted in the United Kingdom.

The Fureys were brothers Eddie, Finbar, Paul and George Furey. They recorded with their friend Davey Arthur as The Fureys & Davey Arthur. The accordion player in the photo attached is Camillus Hiney. After Davey left, they continued as The Fureys (or sometimes The Furey Brothers).
Camillus Hiney with The Fureys. Saw The Fureys at Colston Hall Bristol last night. They have a terrific box player - Callimus Hiney - who did some lovely fills and then performed some blazingly fast Irish pieces at various points in the show. He plays an elderly Hohner and a Mengascini.
