Dale Hennesy (August 24, 1926 – July 20, 1981) was an American production designer and art director. Hennesy was the son of designers and layout artists for Walt Disney. He began working in motion pictures as an illustrator at Twentieth Century Fox, including illustration work on The King and I and South Pacific. [2]

It was later known as ‘ Tenement Street’, and was then renamed in memory of Dale Hennesy, the production designer of the big-budget musical Annie (1982) as this street was redesigned for that movie. Mr Hennesy died partway through the production of the movie, and for the rest of the production period, Gene Callahan took over the design role.
