Her second solo album, Soul Driver came out in 2000, and in 2006 and 2007 she released Something Familiar and Where the Fireworks Are, two stylistically distinct records that she wrote and recorded simultaneously.

Julie Christensen is a jazz vocalist with a very non-jazz past, who can easily win you over with her unusual delivery and choice of material. Something Familiar begins with Jimmy Webb's obscure "Just Like Marilyn," and seems about as far away from a jazz opener as one can get.
UCSB Arts & Lectures presents an encore screening of I’m Your Man at Campbell Hall on the evening of Wednesday, October 18, and Julie Christensen will be taking the stage at SOhO on Monday, October 16 to celebrate the release of her new album, Something Familiar.
