The Celibate Rifles (traducido al castellano: «Los Rifles Célibes») fue un grupo de rock fundado en Sídney ( Australia) en 1978. El grupo fue fundado por Dave Morris ( guitarra ), Ian Martin (voz), Kent Steedman (guitarra), Phil Jacquet ( batería) y James Darroch ( bajo ), aunque Martin fue sustituido al poco por Damien Lovelock.
Paul Couvret OAM JP (5 June 1922 – 5 July 2013) was a Dutch–Australian military veteran, New South Wales schoolteacher and local Councillor. He was a Councillor on Warringah Council from 1973 to 1995 and was Shire President from 1979 to 1983.
