15 de sept. de 2019 · Live footage of Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskin’s Bauhaus side project Tones on Tail is exceptionally rare, but the third and founding member of the project, Bassist and Bauhaus roadie Glenn Campling has unearthed live footage of the band performing in Scotland in 1984.
12 de sept. de 2019 · Glenn Campling is best known as one time Bauhaus roadie and bassist for the seminal post-punk band Tones On Tail, a side project of Bauhaus members Daniel Ash and Kevin Haskins.
While still a member of Bauhaus, Ash formed Tones on Tail early in 1982, originally as a duo with Glenn Campling, an art school friend and flatmate who had also been a roadie for Bauhaus. The band's name was a reference to the way calibration tones were recorded on the "tail" of reel-to-reel tape.
Tones on Tail fue un proyecto musical, paralelo al grupo de rock gótico Bauhaus (banda), creado en 1982 por Daniel Ash (guitarra de Bauhaus) junto a Glenn Campling (roadie de Bauhaus); posteriormente se uniría a la banda Kevin Haskins (batería de Bauhaus).

Glenn Campling’s musical origins stem from a grand vintage, having begun his musical career teaming up with Art College associate and then Bauhaus guitarist Daniel Ash to form Tones On Tail. Glenn’s part in this seminal band should not be underrated and neither should their impact or influence.
