The Circus Maximus is an album released under the name of American heavy metal band Manilla Road in 1992, after the band had first split up. The album contains the work of Manilla Road founder and frontman Mark Shelton who assembled a new band named Circus Maximus.
The Circus Maximus was written and recorded as a Mark Shelton solo project. Black Dragon Records insisted it be released as a Manilla Road album to increase its commercial potential. Recording information: Recorded in 1992 at Miller Studio in North Newton, KS, USA, and Roadster Studio in Wichita, KS, USA. Mixed at Miller Studio. Identifiers:
