Jon Roy Anderson (Accrington, Lancashire, Inglaterra, 25 de octubre de 1944), más conocido como Jon Anderson, es un cantante, compositor y músico inglés. Es fundador del grupo de rock progresivo británico Yes , además de su trabajo como solista y con Vangelis (dúo Jon and Vangelis ).
The album marked Vangelis' first collaboration with singer Jon Anderson, who sings on "So Long Ago, So Clear", the closing section of Part One. Vangelis recalls how they "sat down one day and I start to play the melody and he felt so comfortable that immediately he started to write the words".

It’s been a fairly turbulent few years, what with Chris Squire’s death and Jon Anderson, Rick Wakeman and Trevor Rabin launching their own version of the band… People have said to me that Yes is like a dysfunctional family. It seems to stumble its way forward with some high moments and some low moments.
