GRAMMY award-winner and former Eighth Blackbird Violinist Yvonne Lam released her first solo album, "Watch Over Us," featuring works for violin and electronics by Anna Clyne, Eve Beglarian, Kate Moore, Katherine Balch, Missy Mazzoli, and the world premiere recording of a work by Nathalie Joachim.
Miss YVONNE LAM was born in 1981 in Los Angeles, California. She demonstrated her first signs of musical talent at the age of 6 when she learned to play both the violin and the piano at the Colburn School of Performing Arts in Los Angeles.
Yvonne Lam is a versatile and passionate musician who performs with orchestras, chamber ensembles, and new music groups around the world. She also co-founded the Blackbird Creative Lab, a tuition-free program for artists and composers, and teaches at Michigan State University.
