I'm going on record as saying The Patrolman is my favorite track. There isn't a bad song on this album, but that's the showstopper that made me believe the hype when I first heard it in the OST for Sigil. This album is a fantastic place to start for a Buckethead explorer, and a gateway into a genuinely fantastic artist's extensive body of work.
The line-up features the core Praxis trio of Laswell, guitarist Buckethead and drummer Brain. Additionally, Bootsy Collins and Bernie Worrell (of Parliament-Funkadelic ), both also featured on the debut album , return for one lengthy track each: "Deathstar" includes Collins' "free-form bass explorations" and "Crossing" features ...
The band returned a year later with their 2nd album 'Sacrifist' and to say it went in a slightly different direction would be an understatement. The band went from having 6 to 11 members, and the long instrumental jams and melodies were replaced with speed metal and screaming vocals.

Praxis is an experimental rock project, led by producer/bassist Bill Laswell and featuring guitarist Buckethead and drummer Brain in nearly every incarnation of the band. The group worked with many other artists such as Serj Tankian from System of a Down, Iggy Pop, DXT and DJ Disk.
