After recording several demos, the band chose as manager Alan Niven, who had worked for the independent distributor Greenworld in Torrance, California, and had dealt with Mötley Crüe 's debut self-release.

Audie Desbrow, a native of Southern California, was born in Los Angeles and raised in Rosemead. Audie began playing the drums at the age of two and at the age of 13 started his first band called Hog Bottom. At the age of 20 Audie started a band called Riff Raff which played many local clubs and parties.
