Career. At sixteen, Court met film director Anthony Asquith in London; the meeting gained her a brief part in Champagne Charlie (1944). Court won a British Critics Award for her role as a crippled girl in Carnival (1946). She also appeared in Holiday Camp (1947) and Bond Street (1948).

Hazel Court (1926-2008) was a film and TV actress who played leading roles in Forties musicals and comedies, and became a cult favourite as a horror movie \"Queen of Scream\" in the Fifties and Sixties. She starred in Hammer classics such as The Curse of Frankenstein, The Man Who Could Cheat Death and The Raven, and worked with Vincent Price, Boris Karloff and Peter Cushing.
