Michael Rolfe Gira (19 de febrero de 1954) es un cantautor, multi-instrumentista, autor y artista estadounidense. Es el componente principal del grupo musical de la ciudad de Nueva York Swans y ha estado al frente de la banda Angels of Light.
Michael Rolfe Gira ( / dʒəˈrɑː /; [6] born February 19, 1954) is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, author and artist. Now based in New Mexico, [7] [8] he founded the band Swans, in which he sings and plays guitar, in New York City in the 1980s at the height of the no wave movement.
YOUNG GOD RECORDS is the label run by Michael Gira, the founder and leader of the influential rock band Swans. The label showcases Gira's work with Swans and his post-Swans projects, such as Angels of Light, The Body, and Devendra Banhart.
