Donald Harrison Jr. (born June 23, 1960) [1] is an African-American jazz saxophonist and the Big Chief of The Congo Square Nation Afro-New Orleans Cultural Group from New Orleans, Louisiana. He was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the Berklee College of Music in 2021. He is also an NEA Jazz Master.

26 de ene. de 2007 · his gorgeous trumpet solo - so perfect and beautiful. He had passed on 4 years before "Youkali" was released, but you wouldn't know it from his dubbed in tape. Hall solo's again, along with fine playing from Donald Harrison on soprano sax, bassist Mark Egan, & Kenny Barron on electric piano while the horn ensemble blends in and out.
