Hace 4 días · The college of all the souls of the faithful departed in Oxford, called in its early days 'The College of the Souls' (Collegium animarum), was planned, built, and endowed by Henry Chichele, Archbishop of Canterbury (1414–43).
23 de jun. de 2024 · The college was founded by Henry Chichele, Archbishop of Canterbury, with King Henry VI as co-founder, the foundations being begun on Feb. 10th, 1438. The master-mason appears to have been Richard Chevynton.
14 de jun. de 2024 · Opening Hours. The Library is open to registered Readers, Monday to Friday, 10am - 6:30pm during full term (weeks 1-8), and 10am - 4:30pm during vacation. There are closure periods over Christmas, Easter, and during the summer, dates of which will be announced in advance. The Library is not open to Readers at weekends.
