Pianist, Arranger, Composer, Conductor is the second solo album by American musician Richard Carpenter, released in 1998. It includes instrumental versions of popular songs of the Carpenters, and is dedicated to their deceased mother, Agnes Carpenter.
Karen Anne Carpenter (March 2, 1950 – February 4, 1983) was an American singer and drummer who formed half of the highly successful duo the Carpenters with her older brother Richard. [2] . With a distinctive three- octave contralto range, she was praised by her peers for her vocal skills.

This is Richard Carpenter’s 1997 attempt to get “back in the game,” compiling a largely instrumental solo album comprised of remakes of Carpenters songs and a few of his later compositions. A couple of tracks actually have new accompaniment to older backing tracks, so even Karen gets a credit here.
