I hadn’t heard of this album before, but I don’t live too far away from Manchester (and Moss Side) so my curiosity perked up at that. A quick Google says it is the soundtrack to a non-existent film which sounds quite fascinating at a concept.

  7. Murky, claustrophobic, tense, melancholic, bittersweet at places, this is the first of a series of imaginary soundtracks that Barry Adamson began to craft so well in the late 80s. A cinematic masterpiece, highly recommended to those who are looking for dark, sophisticated soundscapes.
