Chris While (born 1956) is an English songwriter, singer and musician, known particularly for her vocals and live performances. She has worked as a solo artist, a songwriter and as a member of a number of duos and groups. Her music is often classified as English folk, but contains strong American influences.
Chris While and Julie Matthews are the longest standing urban folk female duo in the UK. They have played more than 3,000 gigs, appeared on over 100 albums and written hundreds of original songs.

Chris While is one half of the award-winning duo While and Matthews, who have been performing and recording folk roots music for over 30 years. She is also a producer, a solo artist, and a member of the Albion Band and Daphne's Flight.
Chris While is a folk singer and songwriter who has won the BBC Folk Award with Julie Matthews and performed with Daphne's Flight. She also sings with her daughter Kellie, a radio producer and guest vocalist for other artists.
