21 de may. de 2021 · School History. First Ten Years. Kitimat Schools – The First Decade by Fred Taylor. 1952-53. With the decision by the Aluminum Company of Canada to build a smelter at Kitimat, came the need for a school. Mr. Frank Bower, on September 15, 1952, started the school with two support staff and 26 pupils.
The school district provides educational support for Kindergarten to Grade 12 students in nineteen schools with a teaching, professional and support staff of more than 650 employees.
