Al Hodge (21 December 1950 – 6 July 2006) was an English guitarist, singer and songwriter, who had success with "Rock 'n' Roll Mercenaries", a song that was recorded by Meat Loaf with John Parr in 1986. Hodge co-wrote the song with the American, Michael Dan Ehmig.

Albert E. Hodge (April 18, 1912 – March 19, 1979) was an American actor best known for playing space adventurer Captain Video on the DuMont Television Network from December 15, 1950, to April 1, 1955.
He was afraid of no one and there was many a well-known guitar player walk up to him afterwards and say, 'My,my!'. I'll always remember him as a world - class musician but most of all I'll miss him as a great friend. There'll never be anyone like Al Hodge again."

Al Hodge is an International known singer/composer living in his native Cornwall. Having started his first band at the age of thirteen, Al left school and turned professional at just sixteen, joining popular UK west country band ` The Onyx` who gigged throughout Britain and were frequently featured on BBC Radio 1 sessions.
