Mick Whitnall (born 7 November 1968, Doncaster, Yorkshire) is the English lead guitarist for Pete Doherty's rock band Babyshambles, replacing former guitarist Patrick Walden. He lived in South Africa for a time when he was a young boy while his father was working there.

Babyshambles were an English rock band established in London. The band was formed by Pete Doherty (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) during a hiatus from the Libertines. [1] As of 2013 the band included Mick Whitnall (lead guitar), Drew McConnell (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Adam Ficek (drums, percussion).
3 de sept. de 2013 · The spectre of misfortune savaged not just Doherty but his Babyshambles bandmates; bassist Drew McConnell suffered a horrific bike injury that saw him facing a lifetime of paralysis, whilst guitarist Mik Whitnall, ten years Doherty’s senior, descended further into the very depths of drug addiction.
Originally planned to be Pete Doherty 's second solo record, the album soon became a Babyshambles record, with all tracks being co-written by guitarist Mick Whitnall or bassist Drew McConnell, a first for the band.
