Joseph Luke Guy (September 29, 1920 – June 1, 1962) was an American jazz trumpeter. Guy had a promising career as a young progressive bop musician as he worked alongside more prominent musical acts until a drug addiction sidelined him from further success.
Su vida personal fue tan turbulenta como sus canciones. Se casó con el trompetista Jimmy Monroe el 25 de agosto de 1941. Mientras aún estaba casada con Monroe, mantuvo una relación con el trompetista Joe Guy. Finalmente, acabó por divorciarse de Monroe en 1947, mientras se separaba también de Guy.
