Andrew Matsson’s voice has always reminded of me of grit on a darkened basement window, it gives you a sense of agedness of its own, and below it lies something deep and mysterious, but familiar--intimate. Still, this is undeniably a TMoE album but it embraces the palettes only briefly experimented with in previous albums. I love it.
