Andrew "Andy" Mackay (23 de julio de 1946) es un multi-instrumentista de origen inglés, popular por ser uno de los miembros fundadores de la agrupación de glam rock Roxy Music. En adición ha sido docente de música y músico de sesión para otras bandas, además de fundar el proyecto Andy Mackay + The Metaphors, con el que lanzó un álbum en el 2009.
Life and career. Mackay was born on 23 July 1946 in Lostwithiel, Cornwall, England, and grew up in central London, attending Westminster City School where he was a chorister in the choir of St Margaret's, Westminster. [1] [2] A classically trained woodwind player, [3] he studied music and English literature at the University of Reading. [4]
