Josef K were formed in 1979 out of the remnants of another Edinburgh outfit TV Art by Haig (guitar, vocals) ; Malcolm Ross (guitar ) ; David Weddell (bass) and Ronnie Torrance (drums). Their debut single, 'Chance Meeting', was released on one-off label Absolute in November of that year.
