Seiichi Yamamoto (山本 精一, Yamamoto Seiichi, born July 16, 1958) is a Japanese musician. He was a guitarist for the noise rock band Boredoms, and has released records both as a solo artist and with several other musicians and bands. He has also composed the soundtracks to several films.

山本 精一 （ やまもと せいいち 、本名：山本篤宣、 1958年 7月16日 - ）は、 日本 の ミュージシャン 、 文筆家 、 画家 。 兵庫県 尼崎市 出身。 関西大学 社会学部 卒業。 概要 [ 編集] 世界的な評価を得ている大阪の オルタナティヴ・ロック ・バンド ボアダムス に中心メンバーとして1986年 - 2002年まで在籍。 現在は、日本の人力 トランス バンドのパイオニア ROVO 、Phewとのミニマル・パンクバンド MOST 、 ムーンライダース の 岡田徹 とのポップユニットya-to-iなど、多くのユニットで主に作曲、編曲を担当。 文筆家としても活動しており、様々なメディアへの評論、 文芸雑誌 等への エッセイ や 小説 の寄稿も行なっている。
