On the cover he is seen with a cigarette and a melting Fender Stratocaster. Clapton chose the name for this album because after his first withdrawal from alcohol he had nothing left but money and cigarettes.

  7. Rating : 6/10. 8 September 2003. Money and Cigarettes is Clapton's first effort with Warner Bros. ( Duck records) This CD is not one of his most worthy efforts. It depicts EC at a time when he has lost his edge and is very mellow. His style is laid back. It starts with a good blues song "Everybody outta make a change.
