Woldingham School is an independent boarding and day school for girls, located in the former Marden Park of 700 acres (280 ha) outside the village of Woldingham, Surrey, in South East England. It is a Roman Catholic school and a member of the global Network of Sacred Heart Schools.
As one of the UK’s oldest girls’ schools, Woldingham is proud to be a pioneer of women’s education. Our single-sex environment is supportive and stimulating. It enables students to be themselves and to grow into independent women who will make a positive contribution to the world.
Julia Harrington is Woldingham’s Interim Head for the academic year 2023-24. Mrs Harrington has worked in girls’ education for more than 24 years, most recently as Headmistress of Queen Anne’s School in Berkshire for 14 years.
Founded by Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat in 1842 as the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Woldingham is one of the oldest girls’ schools in the UK. Initially based in Acton, the school later moved to Roehampton and in 1946 moved to our current home at Marden Park.
