Hace 5 días · The parish of Stepney lies in the hundred of Ossulston: it is situated to the east of London, and comprises nearly the whole space between the Mile-end road and the river Thames, from Whitechapel to Bow; it extends also in some places to a considerable distance on the other side of the Mile-end road.
Hace 4 días · Mile End New Town was constituted a separate hamlet of the parish of St. Dunstan, Stepney, by an agreement of 22 July 1690 between its inhabitants and those of Mile End Old Town.

It lies in the hundred of Ossulston, and is bounded on the north and east by Stepney; on the west by St. George, Middlesex; and on the south by the river. Its extent is very small, being only 910 yards in length, and 760 in breadth.
