True originals, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard are hurtling towards cult legend status, and their headline performance here is another giant leap in that direction.
Hace 2 días · King Gizzard starts out with Magma, a medium-popular track from their 2022 album Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms and Lava. It's an ambitious opening number, and the crowd takes a few minutes to warm up. Heard live, the music is thumpy and psychedelic in equal measure.
My dream King Gizzard album is one where they take one or two motifs and make a full 40 minute album that varies in style between Garage Rock, EDM, ... it'd marinate on one or two themes related to the human condition for the entire album. Basically, I want Changes but made for the mosh pit. Share
Hace 5 días · King Gizzard seemed to take the third option with their show on 2024-05-23 at AFAS Live in Amsterdam. While the set is filled with many familiar favorites, there are a number of odd and fascinating differences between this show and your standard two-hour Gizz performance.

A red-faced man taps the locked reprobate on the shoulder, “If you wanna talk, do it somewhere else.”. The red-faced man wears a King Gizzard shirt. It seems any encroachment on the sanctity of sound offends the followers.
