Beat it into the ground til the listener is almost sick of it. The ‘you can talk to me!’ chorus and the ‘hey bulldog!’ sections can stay – I’m not THRILLED about them, but they’re a damn sight better than the verses, and I’ll concede they add a bit of variety. And that’s the song. A 6/10 letdown is transformed into a 9/10 banger.
