I go with 2.5 parts gin, ymmv. Shake very hard. The harder you shake the more the cucumber comes out, and the basil breaks down creating the flakes in the glass. I recommend a shaker lid strainer mainly because a cocktail shaker top strainer gets clogged with all the mess (take your time or swirl if that's all you got).
