The first film up on the butcher block is the third installment in the Evil Dead franchise, Army of Darkness released in 1992. Originally, going to be titled Evil Dead III: Army of Darkness or even Medieval Darkness, Raimi delivers us a fully fleshed out Ash Williams and we are here for the 3 stooges humor and deadite action!
Ash Williams is famous for his quick-wits, one-liners and his fondness for explosives and firearms, most notably his shotgun which he lovingly refers to as his “boomstick.” While Ashley Williams is clearly named after the horror icon she too can be heard calling her weapon a boomstick in the heat of battle, further cementing her as a reference to the Evil Dead character.
Inspired by the third film in the Evil Dead series -- 1992's "Army of Darkness", this Ash has been redesigned to match his appearance in AOD, and articulated to match swivel-arm/ball-neck ARAH-era GI Joe figures (with vintage-compatible parts!), he comes complete with his favorite accessories.
A cross between Ash Williams of Evil Dead and a Dashiell Hammett character, Dellamorte is a cool and quippy gun-toting loner. Everything about the cemetery is his responsibility.
