They are not in the same continuity at all, though both the show and Doomsday Clock are sequels specifically to the comic and not to the movie (which has a much different ending). The HBO series is far superior to Doomsday Clock. I was wanting to ask (as someone who hasn't yet experienced either) whether they fit in the same continuity.
