I finally made it to Britpop, which is a genre I have some personal connection to, having grown up in the north west of England in the mid-90s. The Manics, Oasis, Blur, the Verve, the Auteurs are some of my very favourite bands, but there was a lot here that I listened to for the first time in the course of reviewing it, like Suede, Elastica, and Pulp.
