Dallas Taylor was CSN's original drummer and legend is that the name was to be Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Taylor, but Ahmet Ertegan wanted the drums toned down and the acoustic music and harmonies to be the main focal point of the band so Dallas was moved to the background.
