Hace 3 días · Steven John Wilson (born 3 November 1967) is an English musician. He is the founder, guitarist, lead vocalist and songwriter of the rock band Porcupine Tree, as well as being a member of several other bands, including Blackfield, Storm Corrosion and No-Man.
The band was formed by musician Steven Wilson in 1987, and began essentially as a solo project for Wilson, who created all of the music. By December 1993, Wilson desired to work in a band environment, and so brought on frequent collaborators. The band, on hiatus since 2010, returns in 2022 with new album CLOSURE/CONTINUATION.

Wilson is obviously not afraid to write about difficult subjects, like serial killers, which he wrote about as well in Raider II (which is about the BTK killer, Dennis Rader). IIRC, The Sound of Muzak is the one song on IA not about the serial killer theme.
