  1. Captain The Hon. Fergus Bowes-Lyon. 728198. View record on CWGC. Fergus Bowes-Lyon was born on 18 April 1889 at Forbes House, Ham, Surrey, the son of Claude Bowes-Lyon, 14th Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne and Cecilia Cavendish-Bentinck. Fergus was one of ten children.

When her husband Claude inherited the title of Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne in 1904, she automatically became known as Cecilia Bowes, Lyon Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne.
