Matt reeves is incredibly into detailed visuals and sense of scale, also a huge fan of the use of practical effects and setting the right tone. As for the Gareth edwards thing, I still hold on to him being the best director in the monsterverse by far, with Dougherty being the worst (sorry not sorry).
