Hace 3 días · He died in 1834. John Jervis, Earl of St. Vincent, born in 1735, was the second son of Swynfen Jervis, who became solicitor to the admiralty and treasurer of Greenwich Hospital. Jervis entered the navy in 1749. His first command came in 1759, when he was engaged in the operations against Quebec.
