The film holds up, although some may be disturbed by the sexism and general chauvinism of the period. The cast is great--Jessica Tandy and Hume Cronyn, Don Ameche, Gwen Verdon, Wilford Brimley, the special effects are both good and corny at the same time, and the plot is intriguing enough without being too intense.
