Hace 5 días · Hal Blaine would become the most prolific studio drummer of all time. Rick Faucher, a mechanical genius, was there at Hal’s side as “King of the Drum Techs and Friend to the Stars”. Rick Faucher I lived in Sunland from 1964-1967, and then moved to 440 Occidental Street in Silver Lake off the 101 Hollywood Freeway.
Hace 5 días · As I wandered towards Kirsten Matt’s office, I had the incredible fortune of bumping into Hal Blaine, the legendary drummer known for his work with The Wrecking Crew. To my amazement, Hal and I hit it off immediately.
You’d be surprised to find out many other songs (Top 20 and non-Top 20 alike) Hal Blaine played on. It’s like that quote some famous musician made: “I didn’t know my favorite 7 drummers were Hal Blaine.” Heck, Buddy Rich hired Blaine to play on an album being recorded by his own daughter.
