Hace 4 días · The Staffordshire Potteries Water Works Co. built a pumping station in 1849 at the south end of Ladderedge. The station pumped water from springs to a reservoir on the east side of Sutherland Road. A second reservoir was built to the north as a replacement in 1963.
Hace 5 días · CHURCH. A chapel of ease at Redlake was completed in 1838 (fn. 1) at the 2nd duke of Sutherland's expense (fn. 2) and licensed for baptisms and burials. (fn. 3) The living was then a curacy, filled at the duke's nomination.
