At this time VNV Nation consisted of Ronan Harris and drummer Mark Jackson. Matter + Form (2005) Their 2005 album, Matter + Form, expanded on the soundscape established with Futureperfect. Notable for this harder-edged sound was the first single "Chrome".
Futureperfect is the fourth studio album by the German-based alternative electronic band VNV Nation. It was released in Europe on 28 January 2002 and on 5 March 2002 in the United States. It was the first VNV Nation release to be created/produced entirely using software synthesizers.
Ronan Harris and Mark Jackson of VNV Nation have captured the hearts of many people in quite a short time. And they are now considered one of the brightest lights of the electronic scene. We have been planning to take a closer look at the band for years.

In 1994, Harris moved back to Europe where he met up with Mark Jackson, who joined VNV Nation as the drummer for live shows. Since 1995, Harris has released ten studio albums as VNV Nation. Harris was a co-founder of Dependent Records, but left the label after VNV Nation's Futureperfect album was released in 2002.
Im Oktober 2001 startete VNV Nation die erfolgreiche „Futureperfect“-Tour in Europa und Nordamerika. Das vierte Album Futureperfect erschien im Januar 2002 und erreichte Platz 25 in den deutschen Albumcharts.
