E. T. A. (Ernst Theodor Amadeus) Hoffmann (24.1.1776 Königsberg – 25.6.1822 Berlin) war ein deutscher Schriftsteller der Romantik, der seinen dritten Vornamen Wilhelm aus Bewunderung für Mozart durch Amadeus ersetzte.
