Hace 3 días · Duane Eddy passed away April 30 at age 86. The influential electric guitarist’s twangy sound was first heard on the 1958 Top 10 instrumental hit “Rebel Rouser” augmented by saxophone. As the ‘60s began, Eddy was in the Top 10 with the orchestrated guitar driven instrumental “Because They’re Young” from the film of the same name, starring Dick Clark and Tuesday Weld.
