Just wanted to Mention that Jane Austen and Cassandra were Pet Lovers. In one of the Letters, JA mentions the the 'dogs' like the new young male servant at Chawton...Poss. the outside guy for chores. (Could have been one of the villagers working part time for the Ladies.) Somewhere else I had read that Cassandra had her own particular dog. 12. 4.
