This was despite the fact that Forster and songwriting partner Grant McLennan recorded six albums’ worth of some of the smartest and most critically lauded indie pop of the 1980s.

Another one is Gang of Four's A Brief History of the 20th Century, but that one doesn't hold up as well as the Go-Betweens and Blasters comps I named earlier. It's chronological, and Gang of Four peaked with their debut album.
Hace 5 días · Answer: 1978. Robert Forster and Grant McLennan formed The Go-Betweens in January, 1978. Their first public appearance was in April, 1978 at Baroona Hall, Brisbane. They were the support act for local band "Numbers".
