  3. Barrayar is a prequel to Miles Saga, and tells story of his parents. Don't worry if you haven't read it yet, simply get back to it once you finish with Miles story. Personally, I think you can get more from the Shards of Honor and Barrayar if you read them AFTER Miles. There are a lot of details and easter eggs that sit together really well ...
