I remember thinking that was the most beautiful guitar I’d ever seen I think the things in my own playing that I can pinpoint and think ‘Oh, yeah, that’s Joe Perry’ is more soloing – and rhythmically, I think it really sort of influenced me subconsciously.

This song critiques the disparity of who was sent to fight in the war — highlighting how the wealthy and influential could avoid the draft. Not to mention it’s just a musically impressive track from the start.

Not because of Aerosmith’s 1993-94 ubiquity or the merits of the recording (originally snipped from 1993’s 62-minute disc ‘Get a Grip,’ previously for purchase as B-side with the ‘Eat the Rich’ single), but because the tune was the shortest of all available.
